Homelessness is more than simply rooflessness. A home provides roots, identity, a sense of belonging and a place of emotional well being. Being without all this is an isolating and destructive experience and homeless people are some of the most vulnerable and socially excluded in society.
There are millions of homeless people in America. In order to raise awareness for homelessness, artist Andres Serrano bought the signs from homeless people in NYC for $20 and posted them online. Here are some of them.
