Squirrels are the cutest tree-borne rodents bar none, and Max Ellis from UK got one to pose with an umbrella! Of course, one doesn’t just send a nut-smelling invitation to a photo-shoot. The unpredictability of the British weather means it's always advisable to carry an umbrella this time of year. And this squirrel seems to be prepared after sheltering under a mini brolly during a downpour in South West London. The cute images were snapped by kind-hearted photographer Max Ellis who set up the umbrella in his garden in Teddington during a shower.
A squirrel takes shelter from the rain by huddling under an umbrella in a garden in South West London. The cute images were captured by photographer Max Ellis, who hung the toy umbrella on a fishing line.
“I considered building a covered walkway from their tree because I was getting cramp crouching behind the camera,” Ellis told the Daily Mail. “Fortunately this one popped out and hung around exploring for about six minutes. As the rain got heavier, he was able to shelter for a bit but eventually gave up and headed off home.”
