This Is What A Massive Oncoming Dust Storm Looks Like

Storm chaser and photographer Mike Olbinski captured this unbelievable timelapse of a giant dust storm passing through Phoenix, Arizona on 5 July 2011.

The Phoenix Haboob of July 5th, 2011

A dust storm, which is also known as a haboob, is a type of intense dust storm carried on an atmospheric gravity current. Haboobs occur regularly in arid regions throughout the world. No words to describe this. Mike Olbinski who lived in Phoenix for 35 years and seen tons of dust storms but this was something else entirely.
