With the win Bangalore advances to face Chennai Super Kings in the next round on Friday. The winner of that match will take on Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League final on Sunday. It's the end of the road for the #Royals in this season of the #PepsiIPL after losing out to Royal Challengers Bangalore by 71 runs. A disciplined effort from the RCB bowlers meant RR could not handle the pressure of a big run chase.

The encounter between the two big-guns in a do or die situation started off with RCB winning the first contest- the toss. Virat Kohli, with his team loaded up on all sorts of ammunition and firepower with the bat, decided to bat first on a pitch which had a touch of grass on it.
RCB shone in all departments to complete a memorable over the team from Rajasthan. After winning the toss and deciding to bat first, the Challengers posted an impressive 180/4 on the board with excellent innings by AB and Mandeep. The bowling attack completed the domination, dismissing RR for a scanty 109 to win the all important Eliminator by 71 runs.
Mandeep brings up his fifty with one of the most elegant flick of the wrists we have ever seen! Well-played lad!

AB De Villiers hit a fighting 66 and shared a match-winning 113-run stand with Mandeep. De Villiers' 66 came off 38 balls with four sixes and as many fours. He was declared Man of the Match for his outstanding performance.
RCB will now meet Chennai Super Kings in the second qualifier for a place in the final on May 24.
